2024 marks the 50th running of the Quad-City Times Bix 7. This historic out-and-back race through downtown Davenport is for runners and walkers alike. The 7-Mile course starts at the base of Brady Street Hill and is lined with live bands and cheering crowds. You will Run with the Best as elite athletes toe the line, including legends Bill Rodgers, Joan Benoit Samuelson and Meb Keflezighi. Start at the Mississippi River and finish at the Midwest’s biggest post-race-party. Race, walk or run, let’s have fun!
All Quad-City Times Bix 7, Prairie Farms Quick Bix and Arconic Jr Bix runners receive access to the Genesis Sports Medicine online training program, four free Bix @ 6 training runs on a closed course with hydration support, official race t-shirt, entry into the Walmart post-race party, free food & beverage at THOTE and name printed in Sunday’s Quad-City Times digital and print newspaper.

two people selected will be given
a head start depending on the
needed handicap to make the
event competitive. If the chosen
runners “beat the elite” to the finish
line, he or she will win …$2,500!

Run the Virtual Quad-City Times Bix
The virtual Bix race allows you to run your race at a time and location that works best for you. This year’s official Virtual Race week is Saturday July 20th – noon Saturday, July 27th.
- Register online Your official race t-shirt will be mailed after July 30 to the address you provided in registration.
- Run or walk between the dates of Saturday, July 20th – Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at noon.
- Official race t-shirt will be mailed to the address you provided after July 30th.
- Want to switch to the In-person event? No problem! Registered participants can switch race events (Virtual to In-Person back again) as many times as you’d like without fees through June 30th.

Novice or veteran runner, achieve the goals you set for yourself with a training program from Genesis Sports Medicine.
Elite Athlete Information
Runners expecting to be seeded in the fastest group may apply for our elite corral. Proof of qualifying time must be uploaded during registration. Entries are subject to approval by race officials. Buick GMC Dealers’ First Responders’ Challenge
First responder teams from each of the 5 Quad Cities race the 7-mile course for cash prizes. Fire, EMS/Medic and Police department employees & staff. Teams of 6-members each must include both male and female personnel.

The Quad-City Times Bix 7 was selected to be one of eight 2024 National Championships for the Road Runners Club of America. This is quite an honor and we couldn’t be more excited. This is the second time the Bix 7 has hosted a RRCA Championship Race; in 2021 we were the RRCA 7-Mile Iowa State Championship. You can read more about it here on their website.
